About
No judgment, just your numbers
We built MoneyGuy because most budgeting apps turn overspending into a verdict on your character, or quietly stop working, or get bought out and shut down. MoneyGuy is different: no judgment, just your numbers — and a business model that doesn't depend on your data being worth more to someone else than it is to you.
MoneyGuy runs on subscriptions — not ads, not selling your data. That's the whole model. If we show you something, it's because it's useful, not because someone paid for the placement.
Our approach
Most people don't need more information about money. They need it in the right order, with the noise removed and the trade-offs stated honestly.
So MoneyGuy starts with what's already true about your money — what's coming in, what's going out, what's quietly recurring — before it ever gets to advice-adjacent territory. Get a clear picture first, then build from there.
There's nothing flashy here. The things that reliably build wealth are slow, boring, and available to everyone — MoneyGuy's job is just to make them visible in your own numbers.
Editorial principles
Independent by design
We don't sell financial products, take commissions, or run affiliate links. If MoneyGuy shows you something, it's because your own numbers support it — not because someone paid for the placement.
Plain language first
Jargon is usually a way of hiding a simple idea. Everything MoneyGuy shows you is written to be understood the first time — no glossary required.
Show the numbers
Every figure MoneyGuy shows you comes with the maths behind it. Where a rule of thumb breaks down for your situation, it says so instead of repeating it.
Education, not advice
MoneyGuy shows you what's true about your own numbers. It never tells you what to buy or do — and it'll always point you to licensed advice when a decision genuinely depends on your circumstances.
